"Hillary Clinton was a fine Secretary of State" said Obama

Weekend interview with Chris Wallace on Fox.  Yeah Right.  Fine judge of people that Obama.  Picks the right person every time. 
Hillary was Secretary when the Benghazi consulate was attacked, killing four Americans including the Ambassador to Libya.  She had allowed State Dept cookie pushers to short stop appeals for more security from the ambassador.  She was there when a US general and a US Admiral were fired that night for daring to send rescue missions.  She sent one of her operatives on all the TV Sunday pundit shows to blame the disaster on an obscure bit of internet video. 
   She was Secretary when the Arab Spring began to undermine Hosni Mubarak in Eygpt.  Mubarak had kept the peace that Anwar Sadat had negotiated with Israel.  Mubarak had been a useful and loyal ally of the United States.  When SHTF, and Mubarak's regime began to totter, she did not do the right and proper thing, namely allow the Egyptians to work out their internal problems.  No, she (and Obama) jumped right in and called to Mubarak's overthrow.  
  She was Secretary when the US pulled the troops out of Iraq, turning the place over to ISIS. 
  She was Secretary of State when Putin invaded Ukraineand annexed the Crimea.  She didn't say squat about that.
   She was Secretary will Libya came unglued during the Arab Spring.  We gave the Europeans a little logistical support while they overthrew Qaddafi  and then we all up and left.  Libya is now a failed state, controlled by ISIS.
   She was Secretary of State when Obama announced a "red line" in Syria over the use of poison gas.  She was still Secretary while Assad gassed more of his own citizens and we did nothing. 
   If elected President, Hillary will doubtless find more catastrophes to mismanage.
  

Grillary

The other damaging revelation from yesterday's hearing.  An email from Hillary to Chelsea, the night of Benghazi, where in Hillary states that Benghazi was a terrorist attack.  She also emailed the same to the President of Egypt.  Only the next day did she put forth the "anti-Muslim video provoked mob violence" idea.  She allowed Susan Rice to go on five Sunday talk shows peddling this falsehood, which pretty much ruined Susan Rice's career when the truth came out.  In short, Hillary is a liar, and she is perfectly willing to throw a co worker under the bus. 
   Put that together with Hillary's admission that she allowed bureaucrats at State to short stop messages from Ambassador Stevens says to me that Hillary would be a terrible president. 

Susan Rice rides again.

I never expected to see Susan Rice on the Sunday talk shows again.  Not after her Benghazi lying tour a couple of years ago.  But there she was, on Meet the Press this morning,  looking and sounding like an administration pundit.  She went on and on about how ground troops were not necessary against ISIS.  For some reason that I don't understand, she, and the rest of the administration still calls the enemy ISIL rather than the ISIS used by all the media.
   I wonder how many people out there believe anything she says?  

Lick 'em or join 'em?

The Democrats are choosing between two options.  The House of Representatives is forming a committee to investigate Benghazi, with Rep Trey Gowdy as chairman.  Option 1 for Democrats.  Refuse to participate, make it an all Republican deal, and then trash it as political witchhunting.  Option 2.  Put some Democrats on the committee who can slow things down, waste time, give the witnesses softball questions that make them look good, raise procedural objections, and in general water down the proceedings. 
  Which option to take?  Option 1, abstention, only works if the public can be persuaded that there is nothing in the Benghazi story.  Polls suggest that this won't work, they show a majority thinks Benghazi is a shameful scandal, being hushed up by the administration.  Certainly the failure to send troops to the rescue, the firing of general officers who refused to call back rescue missions, the mysterious CIA operation set up in this sinkhole, the attempt to call it a political demonstration sparked by an obscure internet video, and the denial of security assets requested before hand by officials on the scene, go together to make an ugly and shameful story. 
Option 2  only looks good for Democrats only if they decide Option 1 won't work.

MSM is STILL out there selling Obama Tales

The New York Times on Sunday published a big story to support the original Obama excuses for the Benghazi disaster.  As you might remember, at the time, the Obama folk blamed the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi on an obscure video posted on the Internet.  They sent Susan Rice, high ranking adminstration official to appear on all five Sunday pundit TV shows to push the video theory.
  Anyhow, the Times just printed a big story retelling the "nasty video caused attack" theory.
  And that, ladies and gentlemen, is even handed MSM support for a beleaguered  Obama administration.

Blind to lead the blind

Obama is appointing Susan Rice to be National Security Adviser at this very minute.  Susan Rice is that clueless administration weenie who went on all the Sunday talk shows right after Benghazi to say Benghazi wasn't terrorism, it was just a spontaneous political demo that got a little out of hand.  Yeah right.  If she believed that, then I have a bridge to sell her. 
  National Security Adviser is a post invented in the Eisenhower administration, to sort out conflicts between the State and Defense departments (doves vs hawks)  It's a powerful post.  Nixon's national security adviser, Henry Kissinger, pretty much ran US foreign policy.  In fact Nixon wound up appointing Kissinger to be Secretary of State.  Anyhow, Obama is putting a clueless and ignorant party hack into the job.
   Obama could really use a good National Security Adviser.  He needs a lot of help.  So far, all Obama has managed is to subject the US to a torrent of scorn and abuse.  He offends our friends, and he makes nice to our enemies.  He is so dumb he cannot tell a friend from an enemy.  His new National Security Adviser isn't gonna make anything get better, not ever.  
   The clueless feel better when surrounded by the more clueless. 

Firing Generals and Admirals over Benghazi

The TV news has mentioned this, but let it drop. Obama fired General Carter Ham, head of Africom. Then he fired Rear Admiral Charles M. Gaouette from his command of the powerful Carrier Strike Group Three (CSG-3) currently located in the Middle East . General Ham was fired right in the middle of the Benghazi attack, and Admiral Gaoutte was fired shortly afterwards. Service rumor has it that both officers were re leaved of command because they were sending re inforcements to Benghazi against Obama's orders to let the consulate be overwhelmed
