Eric Holder's justice dept just released an ugly report on Ferguson. It says that the mostly white police force and criminal justice system spent their time shaking down black residents via parking tickets, speeding tickets, and pot busts. It sounded really bad.
Question: where are the black voters in Ferguson? Surely, with a bit of leadership, they could get out the vote, and elect a black mayor, city council, or selectmen, depending upon what kind of city government Ferguson has.
I haven't heard a word on the msm, not even Fox, about who runs Ferguson, and why the substantial black population (for all I know a majority) has not been able to shape up Ferguson city government via the ballot box.

A leak in the NORK
Tom Clancy lives. We have a source inside the North Korean government. Clancy's Agent Cardinal comes back to life. If true, this is fantastic, the stuff of spy stories, right up there with the Oleg Penkofski story. US senator Chuckie the Schumer (D-NY) revealed this tantalizing bit of news this morning on national TV.
This might explain the Justice Dept snooping on AP and Fox reporters. Leaking the NORK source is big enough to get usually sensible law enforcement people to do foolish things. Law enforcement probably didn't have a clue as to who the leaker was. So they decided to snoop reporters email and cell phones, to find out who the reporters had been talking to. This is strictly illegal. Fourth Amendment says "No Warrents shall issue, but upon probable cause."
So they trumped up espionage charges against the Fox News reporter in order to get a judge to issue the search warrent. And that is how Holder can say with a straight face that he had no intention of prosecuting reporters. Well, no, he didn't plan to prosecute them, he just wanted to snoop their email and cell phones.

Why does the FBI have its own Air Force?
Republicans are bashing Attorney General Holder over taking joy rides in FBI aircraft. Which is a a legitimate zinger, but more interesting is the fact that the FBI has its own aircraft. Why? Why cannot FBI agents fly commercial, stand in security lines and get groped by TSA just like the rest of us? Aircraft are ultra expensive to own and operate. Corporations are thinning out their aircraft under stock holder pressure. As far as stockholders are concerned, corporate aircraft just suck up money that could otherwise go to dividends. As far as this tax payer is concerned, FBI aircraft just suck up money, they don't stop crime. Yet another place to do a little sequestration.
